
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Matt was raised in Winters, California and enlisted in the Marine Corps on June 4 2004. Initially serving in the Security Forces regiment as a Recapture Tactics Team member. Matt then went on to serve as an Infantryman with 1st Battalion 4th Marines. Deploying twice to Iraq, first in 2006 to the Al Anbar province, second in 2008 to Fallujah. He then went on to be a security forces instructor, teaching physical security and tactics as well as martial arts.
After serving in the Military Matt completed an EMT program and worked in the medical field. During this time, he also volunteered at an organization that offers horseback riding for kids with disabilities, Project RIDE. He was offered the position of ranch manager for Project RIDE where he took care of the herd of 18 horses.
Matt and his family moved here to the Tri-Cities to be closer to his wife’s family. He is honored to be a part of CBVC and hopes to share his passion of recovery through sport and mindfulness.
